How much would it cost to book Partly Animals?
This can depend on a number of factors which we must take into account when giving a price, for example: the venue and its location, playing, set-up and finish times. Please contact us for a quotation! Back to the top
How much space will the band require? We ideally require a performance area of approximately 4 x 8 metres plus an area of 1.5 x 1.5 metres at the back of the venue for our mixing desk and sound engineer. However, we know this isn't always possible, so if necessary we will squeeze up a bit!

Do you need a stage?
A stage would be better for us if it's possible. We can keep all our gear out of your way and of course, you'll be able to see us much better! Back to the top
Sound and lighting?
We have all the PA equipment we need to perform in the majority of venues and we have sufficient lighting for the band/performance area. All our equipment is PAT tested and insured.
If this equipment is to be provided we will need to arrange and confirm in advance our requirements and setup. Back to the top
Can you also provide a disco?
While we have the facility to play your CD's or connect your MP3 player into our sound system, we do not provide a disco or dance floor lighting.
We would normally expect to turn power off to our PA and lighting within 30 minutes of finishing playing, to allow it to cool before packing it away, so if you need music played after we have finished, we will happily discuss this. Back to the top
What are your power requirements?
A minimum of 4 x 13amp power sockets are required on the stage area, plus a 13amp power socket at the rear of the venue for our sound engineer. All our equipment is professionally PAT tested (Portable appliance testing certificate).
The combined wattage for our PA, monitors, back-line amps, mixing desk, and lighting is around 9 Kw. If you are using a generator it'll need to be able to supply more than this; plus whatever your needs are for lighting and catering, and must be equipped with a conditioner to provide a regulated supply. Also, at risk of stating the bleedin' obvious, it needs to be silenced - or positioned well away from the performance area! Back to the top
How long will the band need to set-up?
From our arrival at the venue, unloading and setting-up usually takes 90 minutes through to final sound check. Like you, we would prefer not to be doing this in front of your guests!
Packing up and loading takes 60 minutes. Back to the top
Does the band need a dressing room?
Yes please! Because we have boys and girls, ideally we need two rooms, but if that's not possible we can muck in together. Remember though, there are 10 of us and we'll also need somewhere to store our cases, so a broom cupboard won't be big enough! Back to the top
Will you need feeding?
We'll be away from home for quite a while and generally don't find the time to leave the venue to find food. If you can supply simple food and drink that would be appreciated! Back to the top
For how long does the band perform?
We can provide you with up to two hours of live music, and while we would not normally play for over an hour without a break, its your event, so tell us what you would like! Back to the top
Can anyone else use your equipment?
If there is another band playing we will gladly negotiate sharing certain bits of amplification equipment, but under no circumstances will instruments be available, unless planned and agreed in advance. We are always happy to discuss and plan anybody's individual requirements with regard this and any other aspect of your event! Back to the top
